Zone of Avoidance

Zone of avoidance… Would this be ALL the things I avoid? For example, I have never smoked. What about other things, like relationships? Everyone with an opinion, says never to put work ahead of family and friends. That is not always possible. Sometimes in my working life, there was so much dust and gas (from other people and even from myself) that I had to clear that first. Of course, it ate into family time.

What about the rules I set for myself? My Zones of Avoidance could be when I am not willing to put aside the following:
1.     My unrealistic expectations of myself.
2.     Saying yes when it should have been no.
3.     Overdoing something (one of my ultimate favourites.)
4.     Taking on more than I can handle.
5.     My reluctance to have my knee operated on.

The list goes on and on. I ALWAYS have a good excuse for having these items in my Zone of Avoidance. Will this post change it? Not likely. However, I can’t wait to ask my husband if he is in his Zone of Avoidance when I want something done. Ha-ha.

What is your Zone of Avoidance?
